The European Courtier – it’s nearly here!

We have been fascinated to learn about Baldassare Castiglione, the courtier on whom our programme ‘The European Courtier’ is based, and hope to manifest some of the attributes he recommends in a courtier:
“To dance well without over nimble footings or to busy tricks. To play upon the Lute, and singe to it with the ditty. To play upon the Vyole, and all other instruments with frets.”

We do hope that our footings will be sufficiently nimble, whilst not too busy, and although there will be no singing of ditties, there will be playing upon the lute and viol!
