Saturday 15th February: Baroque Dance Summer Workshop: An introduction to Baroque dance notation.

Are you interested in how Baroque dancers decode historical dance records and put them into practice? This workshop, presented by the Courtly Arts Performers of Victoria Baroque Dancers, will introduce participants to how the Performers use Beauchamp-Feuillet Dance Notation.  It includes the fundamental elements of the notation, basic step-units, their relation to music, and some dance practice.  Although not necessary, some exposure to Baroque Dance ether as practitioner or audience would be advantageous.

Concerts:

We are about to start work on our next concert programme, which will include an early English dance from the little known Gresley manuscript, as well as many other dances, music and song from the 15th to 18th centuries.

Dates: Sunday 25th May & Sunday 1st June 2025

Renaissance Dance Course

We are hoping to hold our annual Introduction to Renaissance Dance course in Kew on Sunday 8th & Sunday15th June 2025. To be confirmed.
