Join the Courtly Arts Performers as we explore the rich tapestry of colours and textures…
Three events! 2 performances & a dance course
We have three events open for booking!
Concerts:
We invite you to join us as we explore the rich tapestry of colours and textures woven by the music and dances we love from the early Renaissance to the Baroque period. Our journey will take us through England, France, the Low Countries, Italy and Germany. Our dancers will perform works from the earliest publications of c.1460 through to the dance masters of the 18th century. Our musicians will showcase the range of instruments they enjoy: viols, early reeds, recorders, lute, guitar, percussion and, of course, voice, by composers from Josquin des Prez to Georg Philipp Telemann, and will introduce the music of the first woman to see her work published, and the first woman to write an opera We present all of this with period instruments, court costumes and meticulously researched choreographies.
